    Teresa Johanna McGrath was born on 19 September, 1898, in the Parish of Ramsgrange in the Diocese of Ferns, Ireland.

    Sister Lawrence Gough

    Annie was born in Waimate on 5 May 1876, but by the age of six her parents, John Francis and Anne Gough (nee Houey), seem to have died for she was adopted by Mark Healey and was subsequently brought up by him and his wife. Whether they were related or not is not known.

    Sarah Teresa O’Sullivan was born in Christchurch on 31 October, 1882, the daughter of Denis and Elizabeth O’Sullivan.

    Sister Josephine Caulton

    Josephine Ellen Caulton was born in Pokeno, a small town southwest of Auckland, on 2 December, 1926, the daughter of Robert Caulton, a Returned Serviceman from the First World War. He married Annie (nee Hope) an immigrant from Paisley, Scotland, in 1921 at Pukekohe.

    Sister Joseph O’Leary

    Mary Elizabeth O’Leary was born on 12 August, 1914; on the eve of the First World War. Mary was the second eldest in a family of four, three boys and the one girl. Mollie, as she was always called lived most of her early life in Petone.

    Catherine Daly-Peoples was the daughter of John and Cecilia (nee Martini) Daly-Peoples.  Catherine and her twin brother were born on January 22nd, 1913 at Newtown, Wellington.  
    There were already two girls in the family.
