During her term as congregational leader she assisted with implementing the changes when the Congregation moved to having appropriate governance and management structures required for the present time.  Her leadership skills enabled her to engage in a number of international and local meetings both religious and civic. She was auditor, representing New Zealand at the Oceania Synod assembly in Rome in 1998. Now Sister Catherine is an active and energetic member of the Wellington South Rotary Conference, a trustee of the Wellington Women’s Homeless Trust and a volunteer at the Compassion Soup Kitchen. She continues to keep up with social and justice issues through various meetings and reading many publications provided by community and public groups.
