Patricia Margaret Peace Crombie was born on 6 November, 1918, and was baptised a week later in St Mary of the Angels Church, Wellington. Patricia’s parents were Norman Joseph and Hilda Crombie (nee Hopkins).
Before entering the Sisters of Compassion in 1967 Sister Rae completed her nursing training at the Sisters of Mercy Mater Hospital in Auckland.
Maria an Indian Fijian entered the Sisters of Compassion but Discerned the life was not for her.
