Catherine Daly-Peoples was the daughter of John and Cecilia (nee Martini) Daly-Peoples. Catherine and her twin brother were born on January 22nd, 1913 at Newtown, Wellington. There were already two girls in the family.
Mary was born in Fairlie, the youngest of 6 children. She was educated at the local school and completed her secondary education with the Sisters of Mercy at Timaru.
For many years sister looked after the finances and maintenance work for the sisters living at Silverstream...
