Sister Kathleen Crean

Kathleen Theresa Crean was born in Blackstoops, Enniscorthy, Wexford, Eire. Sister Kathleen started her life on one side of the world and ended it on the other after travelling to New Zealand in 1959 and following the Lord’s call.
Sister Shirley Tunnicliffe

In late 1964, Sister Shirley took over the responsibility of Theatre Nurse in our hospital; a position she held almost unbroken until 1984...
Heritage NZ listed the Chapel and the Resting Place to be included as historical sites.

Heritage New Zealand is accepting submissions on this proposal until 24 February, seeking to capture the experiences and significance of this place for those who visit.
