The Influenza Pandemic 1918 – A temporary exhibition
The Sisters of Compassion mark the 100th anniversary of the 1918 Influenza Pandemic. The story of the Sisters of Compassion during the influenza pandemic will be told in a temporary exhibition opening at the Home of Compassion. The pandemic came at the end of a devastating war and struck Wellington between November and December. Wellington had the highest death rate of the cities.
