While a Sister of Compassion she generously shared her gifts with the sisters helping where needed. Since leaving the Sisters of Compassion Rosalie has continued working in the community helping people with special needs. Today she lives in Whanganui, her home town.

Clare Mary Brownlie was born on 19 October, 1892, at Brunswick, Whanganui, the daughter of James Brownlie and Nora (Nee Mullins). Her father’s two sisters were among Mother Aubert’s first companions.
