Compassion Soup Kitchen

Supporting people who are marginalised in our community to live with dignity.

On a practical level, we provide meals, friendship and hospitality, visit those in need, supply shoes and clothing and bedding, crockery and kitchen utensils for guests setting up flats, supporting all by our spiritual ministry and fellowship. We see ourselves as true advocates for the disadvantaged.

The Tory Street Centre is close to where the first soup kitchen was established in Buckle Street in 1899.

The Soup Kitchen provides two hot meals a day, Monday – Saturday. Breakfast is served 7.45am – 8.45am and dinner service runs 4.45pm – 5.45pm and costs $2.
