Agnes was born in Wellington, daughter of Julian and Agnes Allen. They met whilst on route to New Zealand where they married and settled successfully into their adopted country.
Maria an Indian Fijian entered the Sisters of Compassion but Discerned the life was not for her.
Elizabeth was born in Meannee the daughter of Michael and Mary Devine. The family lived in a rural area of the Hawkes Bay.
