One evening one of our guests confided that Eddie (another guest) would like to take me to the films but the first man thought my husband would be the problem. “Oh,” I said blithely, “my husband won’t be a problem” and then quickly realised I’d better explain before my response caused further confusion...

Bridget Ann was born at Ashhurst, Manawatu. She was the second daughter of Patrick and Mary Kerrigan who were for many years farmers in the Manawatu region.
