Mary Cooney Walsh was born in Gore. Her parents were Annie Marie Cooney and John Joseph Walsh. Mary was the only girl in the family of four. The family lived on their own farm at Menzies Ferry.
Lesina came from Samoa. She was a happy person but discerned that Religious life was not for her.
Elizabeth was born in Meannee the daughter of Michael and Mary Devine. The family lived in a rural area of the Hawkes Bay.
