Sister Philomena Quillivan
Jane was born at Manganoho, Whanganui. Her Irish father, Patrick, and her Scottish mother, Catherine, migrated with their families to New Zealand in the mid-1880s. Jane was educated at the Manganoho School gaining her Certificate of Proficiency in 1908.

Helen Mary Henry was born in Hawera on 18 June, 1906, but spent most of her early life in Wanganui. Her parents were Thomas and Annie Henry (nee Finnerty). Sister Dolores McQuilkin
Alice McQuilkin was born at Hauhau, on the West Coast of New Zealand, on 8 August, 1876. Her parents were John and Mary McQuilkin (nee Sweeny). Alice entered the Sisters of Compassion on Ascension Thursday, May, 1892.
