Mary Small was born at Tuamarina, on 4 March, 1876. Her parents were Joseph and Debora (nee Hunter).

Sister Pauline Dwyer
Pauline Dwyer was born in Greymouth on 5 August 1922, the third child of Katherine Victoria (nee McGuigan) and Patrick James Dwyer. On 11 June, 1933, Pauline was confirmed by Bishop Brodie, Bishop of Christchurch, and she chose the name Imelda.

Sister Rosalie Allen
Agnes was born in Wellington, daughter of Julian and Agnes Allen. They met whilst on route to New Zealand where they married and settled successfully into their adopted country.
