Catherine Daly-Peoples was the daughter of John and Cecilia (nee Martini) Daly-Peoples. Catherine and her twin brother were born on January 22nd, 1913 at Newtown, Wellington. There were already two girls in the family.
Sister Michael’s encounter with the Sisters of Compassion came in the form of a shabby little book. She was impressed with the sisters’ work with the elderly and that was the beginning of a long journey toward religious life. The Sisters of Compassion were not long in Fiji when she visited them.
We have been absolutely blown away by the generosity for our Compassion Soup Kitchen street day on 26th May. To everyone who donated, thank you very much, you give us such hope.
