Mary Josephine Casey was born in Wellington on 11 October 1873. Her parents were John James and Teresa Mary Casey (nee Pagon). Mary had wanted to join the Sisters of Compassion at Jerusalem-Hiruhārama for some time, but could not get away from home.
Catherine Daly-Peoples was the daughter of John and Cecilia (nee Martini) Daly-Peoples. Catherine and her twin brother were born on January 22nd, 1913 at Newtown, Wellington. There were already two girls in the family.
Sister entered the Sisters of Compassion Novitiate in 1964 and, in 1967, became the first Sister of Compassion from Tonga to make her final profession...
