Sunday, 6th October 2024 was set aside by the New Zealand Catholic Bishops’ Conference for all parishes and communities in Aotearoa New Zealand to remember and celebrate the life, good works, and spirituality of Venerable Meri Hohepa Suzanne Aubert.
This year, to coincide with the ‘Year of Prayer’ launched by Pope Francis for 2024, the resource pack sent to parishes reflected the prayerful spirituality of Meri Hohepa Suzanne Aubert. Focusing on her words, ‘Let my actions be a continual prayer and speak to you of my love,’ the resource included prayers and reflections for parish communities.
The Sisters of the Congregation celebrated this day in their respective parishes and in a service at the Chapel of Our Lady of Compassion in Island Bay.
