I entered the Sisters of Compassion on the 28 October 1961 and was professed on the 15 August 1964. I completed my nursing training and after graduating I worked in the different apostolates of the Sisters of Compassion. Two highlights of my religious life were working with Aboriginal children in Wilcannia and the orphan children in Romania. I worked in Romania during two different periods. During the 1990’s I worked in Negru Voda with children suffering from physical and mental disabilities between the ages of 2½ – 16 years. In 2013 when I returned I noticed a big difference from the first time I was there in 1990, the place was clean and bright, the children were well dressed and the food had improved.
