Suzanne Aubert had a wide range of friends and supporters across the religious and other divides of her day.

Suzanne Aubert, writing to the Minister of Health on 11 April 1922, regarding the Home of Compassion at Island Bay said: “All branches of the work are gratuitous. Patients are admitted without regard to creed or colour; the sole object of the work being to benefit the poor.”
