Sister left the Congregation in 1965 but re-entered in 1967, leaving again before her final Profession. Before leaving she had completed her first year of training to become a nurse. Thank you Adrian for sharing your talents while you lived with us.
Clare Mary Brownlie was born on 19 October, 1892, at Brunswick, Whanganui, the daughter of James Brownlie and Nora (Nee Mullins). Her father’s two sisters were among Mother Aubert’s first companions.
Thelma Backhurst was born in Auckland, 6 May 1940. Her parents were George and Gladys Backhurst. John her brother was the only other member of the family. Sister Baptist, her father’s sister, was a Sister of Compassion.
