Clare Mary Brownlie was born on 19 October, 1892, at Brunswick, Whanganui, the daughter of James Brownlie and Nora (Nee Mullins). Her father’s two sisters were among Mother Aubert’s first companions.
Lesina came from Samoa. She was a happy person but discerned that Religious life was not for her.
Sister was a beautiful gentle nurse but had to leave the sisters because of health reasons. Paea continues to nurse at St Joseph’s Home of Compassion at Heretaunga.
