Sister Aloysius Kerrigan
Margaret Kerrigan was born at Ashhurst, near Palmerston North, on 5 September, 1885. She entered as a Postulant on 13 October, 1907 and went to Island Bay when the Noviciate was transferred there in March, 1908. She began her Novitiate on the 17 September, 1908, and received the name of Sister Mary Aloysius. She was professed on 28 September, 1910.

Sister Martha Chard
Constance Miriam Mary Chard was born at Stratford in Taranaki, on 7 May 1912. Her father, Edward Chard, was born in England and came to New Zealand at a very early age, marrying her mother Amy Carter who was of Irish descent.
