Clare Mary Brownlie was born on 19 October, 1892, at Brunswick, Whanganui, the daughter of James Brownlie and Nora (Nee Mullins). Her father’s two sisters were among Mother Aubert’s first companions.
During her nearly 50 years as a professed religious, Sister offered love and compassion to all those whom she encountered. She was also grateful for the love, understanding and compassion that she received from others.
Mary Jean Pearson Souter was born in Wanganui on 1 May, 1915. Her parents were Thomas Pearson and Amelia Anne Pearson (nee Kennedy). Mary entered the Sisters of Compassion at Island Bay, on 5 January, 1934...
