Sister Dolores McQuilkin
Alice McQuilkin was born at Hauhau, on the West Coast of New Zealand, on 8 August, 1876. Her parents were John and Mary McQuilkin (nee Sweeny). Mary was born in Fairlie, the youngest of 6 children. She was educated at the local school and completed her secondary education with the Sisters of Mercy at Timaru.
