Sister Tarcisius Walsh
Maureen Theresa was born in 1925; her parents were John and Mary Walsh. She had five brothers and was seventh in a family of nine. Maureen came from an Irish Catholic background, and Irish music and dancing were the loves of her life.

Muriel Winifred Seymour was born in Nelson, on the 18 February, 1887. Her parents were Charles Alexander Seymour and Emily Seymour (nee Brunetti). Sister Damian was one of a family of twelve children, six of whom became religious, two of her brothers joined the Society of Mary, and two of her sisters became Sisters of Mercy...

Sister Pauline Dwyer
Pauline Dwyer was born in Greymouth on 5 August 1922, the third child of Katherine Victoria (nee McGuigan) and Patrick James Dwyer. On 11 June, 1933, Pauline was confirmed by Bishop Brodie, Bishop of Christchurch, and she chose the name Imelda.
