Sister Gabriel Henry

Helen Mary Henry was born in Hawera on 18 June, 1906, but spent most of her early life in Wanganui. Her parents were Thomas and Annie Henry (nee Finnerty). Even in those days she must have been a special person, as one of the Sisters can remember a teacher's oft-repeated phrase: ‘If only we had girls like Molly Henry!’...
Sister Emmanuel Peters

Clare Louisa Peters was born in Auckland on 18 May, 1886. Clare entered the Sisters of Compassion, Island Bay, on 30 November, 1912, and began her Novitiate training on 2 October, 1913, when she was given her Religious name Sister Mary Emmanuel. Sister was professed on 14 October, 1915...
Sister Josephine Caulton

Josephine Ellen Caulton was born in Pokeno, a small town southwest of Auckland, on 2 December, 1926, the daughter of Robert Caulton, a Returned Serviceman from the First World War. He married Annie (nee Hope) an immigrant from Paisley, Scotland, in 1921 at Pukekohe.
