Clare Mary Brownlie was born on 19 October, 1892, at Brunswick, Whanganui, the daughter of James Brownlie and Nora (Nee Mullins). Her father’s two sisters were among Mother Aubert’s first companions.
Marna Louisa Knapp was born at Kiwi, Nelson, on 1 May, 1909. Her parents were Arthur Leslie and Mabel Louise Knapp (nee Mills).
