Sister Thomas McLoughlin

Emily Keziah McLoughlin was born at Lismore, New South Wales, on 19 July, 1899. Before entering the Sisters of Compassion, she worked as a secretary for nearly twenty years in the office of an importing firm of musical instruments.
Sister Baptist Backhurst

Ethel Francesca was the eldest daughter of Francis and Maud Backhurst, she was born in Onehunga, Auckland. Her siblings, three brothers and one sister relied on her direction and motherly skills, as their father died at an early age...
