Sister Thomas McLoughlin
Emily Keziah McLoughlin was born at Lismore, New South Wales, on 19 July, 1899. Before entering the Sisters of Compassion, she worked as a secretary for nearly twenty years in the office of an importing firm of musical instruments.

Sister Joseph O’Leary
Mary Elizabeth O’Leary was born on 12 August, 1914; on the eve of the First World War. Mary was the second eldest in a family of four, three boys and the one girl. Mollie, as she was always called lived most of her early life in Petone.

Bridget Ann was born at Ashhurst, Manawatu. She was the second daughter of Patrick and Mary Kerrigan who were for many years farmers in the Manawatu region.
