Annual Venerable Suzanne Aubert celebration day

October is a significant month in the life of Suzanne Aubert given that she died on 1stOctober. To celebrate her life and to help promote the spirituality and good works of Suzanne Aubert, the NZ bishops have agreed to support a Suzanne Aubert Celebration day on the first Sunday of October each year.
Sister Therese Caldwell

Rosanne Agnes Caldwell, daughter of Lindsay Archibald Caldwell and Jeanne Marie [nee Dondeyne] was born on the 25th August, 1923 at Wellington. She was the second daughter in a family of six. Rosanne and her four sisters and one brother received their education at the Sacred Heart Convent in Island Bay.
Sister Anna Maria Shortall

Anna Maria Shortall, daughter of James Shortall and Elizabeth Crockett Lowe (nee Smith) of Spur Road, Fielding, was born at Fielding on 15 February, 1917. She had a twin brother. During 1939-1945, she worked as a land girl on her father’s farm until her brothers returned from the War...
