Emily Keziah McLoughlin was born at Lismore, New South Wales, on 19 July, 1899. Before entering the Sisters of Compassion, she worked as a secretary for nearly twenty years in the office of an importing firm of musical instruments.
Lorraine Mary Walsh was born in Gisborne, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Walsh. Lorraine was the eldest sibling.
Maria an Indian Fijian entered the Sisters of Compassion but Discerned the life was not for her.
