Mary Elizabeth Lavery was born on 1 September 1904, at Waubra, Victoria. Her parents were Bernard and Catherine Lavery (nee Fay). Australian born and proud of it, Ballarat had a special place in her heart.
Lesina came from Samoa. She was a happy person but discerned that Religious life was not for her.
Christina Agnes Dowdall was born in Whanganui on 9 November, 1908. Her parents were Christopher and Gladys Dowdall. Christina was lovingly referred to in the family as Jacky.
