Lorraine Donaldson

Lorraine, who recently retired, was driving into Wellington from her home one day when she saw a bus with a large advertisement on the back for the Compassion Soup Kitchen. “This must be meant to be” she thought and she decided to give them a call to see if she could help in some way.

Not long after, she arranged a visit to the Compassion Soup Kitchen in person to learn more. “It seemed to be a perfect fit for me because it’s a nice place to volunteer,” said Lorraine.

Since her first experience volunteering, Lorraine’s been hooked. “Over time, I have become increasingly proud and happy to be a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen.”

“I think this place is fabulous. The people who work here have a great attitude towards providing nutritious, healthy, and tasty food.”
