Sister cared for the aged and disadvantaged in the Homes of Compassion at Island Bay, Silverstream, Timaru and Wanganui. From 1978 till 1984 she worked in our Homes in Wagga Wagga and Broken Hill. Sister’s holistic approach to the people she cares for and for their extended family has benefited many people. Over the years Sister Helena has supported many families in practical ways where she has given her time. In recent years she has been actively involved in Pastoral Care with those living in the wider community.

Sister Philip Greener
Patricia Eileen, the eldest daughter of Arthur Henry and Margaret Elizabeth Greener (nee McDonald) was born in Christchurch. Several months later Patricia was baptised in Kilbirnie. She lived with her family in Westport until she entered the Sisters of Compassion.
