Sister Gemma will be remembered by the sisters for the wonderful care she gave the babies in the nursery at Island Bay. She was very good at floral arrangement and was able to darn clothing making the repair invisible and neat, restoring the fabric to its original integrity.

Sister Aloysius Kerrigan
Margaret Kerrigan was born at Ashhurst, near Palmerston North, on 5 September, 1885. She entered as a Postulant on 13 October, 1907 and went to Island Bay when the Noviciate was transferred there in March, 1908. She began her Novitiate on the 17 September, 1908, and received the name of Sister Mary Aloysius. She was professed on 28 September, 1910.
