Agnes was born in Wellington, daughter of Julian and Agnes Allen. They met whilst on route to New Zealand where they married and settled successfully into their adopted country.

Sister Chanel Kelly
Mary Kelly was born at Charleston on the West Coast of New Zealand on the 10 March, 1872. Her parents were Denis Kelly and Bridget Molony. She entered the Sisters of Compassion at Buckle Street, in 1900, and was Professed on 8 December, 1901. Sister Chanel was Perpetually Professed on 25 January, 1911...
