Lorraine Mary Walsh was born in Gisborne, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Walsh. Lorraine was the eldest sibling.
After her Profession in 1958 Sister Mary worked in the different Homes of Compassion before going to Loreto Hall to obtain her teacher ‘C’ Certificate.
Following her Perpetual Profession, Sister trained as a nurse in our hospital, graduating in 1967...
