To compliment our Jazz Festival performance we’re lucky enough to be hosting an exhibition from visual artist Neal Palmer.

This will be open from 10am-2pm from 25 October to 2 November. These diptych paintings made in the past few years are the final move from making images of landscapes or still lifes. They have some parallels with the process of making jazz as they are the product of working out the composition problems as the painting develops.

The titles were added after the final result and sometimes refer to places or music I recently listened to and are of little importance. Call it Anything refers to the famous quote from Miles Davis at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival.
