Explore the practices of the Sisters of Compassion then and now, through the lens of the historic crèche and the ongoing mahi of the Compassion Soup Kitchen.
Learn about the historic crèche established by Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert and the Daughters of Our Lady of Compassion, now known as the Pukeahu Education Centre. Hear the stories of the practices of compassion led by the Sisters in early 20th century Wellington.
Then, walk over to the Compassion Soup Kitchen on Tory Street where the Sisters of Compassion and their co-workers are still supporting people with kai, aroha and much more.
Please bring along a cash koha for the Compassion Soup Kitchen.
