Louisa Gertrude was born in Albury, N.S.W. Her parents, Charles and Catherine, raised their eight children, five daughters and three sons, within a strong Christian atmosphere.
Rosaline Rita was born in Inglewood, Taranaki on 2 May, 1925. Her parents were William John and Helen Martha Butler (nee Dravitski). Rosaline’s father owned a farm in Inglewood and it was from there she developed a great love of the outdoors, animals and bird life.
Carol Anne the second daughter of Gerald and Laura Rogers was born in Wellington and baptised at St Francis de Sales Church in Island Bay. Carol, along with her sister Pauline and brother Brian who both had special needs, lived within a sheltered family atmosphere...
