Stella Magdalen Ward was born at Bolton, Lancashire, England, on 6 May, 1916. Her parents were William and Margaret Mary Ward (O’Neil). The family moved to New Zealand when Stella was eight and settled in Wanganui where they lived until moving to Auckland in 1941...
Honoria, daughter of Cornelius and Ellen O’Mahony, was born at Drimoleague, County Cork, Ireland and immigrated to New Zealand at the age of 30. She was a qualified Maternity Nurse prior to her arrival having received her training at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.
Kathleen Theresa Crean was born in Blackstoops, Enniscorthy, Wexford, Eire. Sister Kathleen started her life on one side of the world and ended it on the other after travelling to New Zealand in 1959 and following the Lord’s call.
