Honoria, daughter of Cornelius and Ellen O’Mahony, was born at Drimoleague, County Cork, Ireland and immigrated to New Zealand at the age of 30. She was a qualified Maternity Nurse prior to her arrival having received her training at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin.
Mary Catherine Heagney was born on 31 May, 1913 in Dublin, Ireland. She came to New Zealand with her family at the end of May, 1921, so she was old enough to retain clear memories of her early childhood in Ireland...
