Cecilia Margaret was born in Darfield, Canterbury. Her parents were Daniel and Johanna McLaughlin and she had three brothers and three sisters. Cecilia entered the Sisters of Compassion in 1936.
Agnes Irene Wall was born on 7 January 1918, at Lower Hutt. Her parents were Raymond Nonnatus and Mary Ellen Wall (nee Maher).
Sister Christine nursed in the hospital. After she left the Sisters of Compassion she communicated with the sisters who were always delighted to hear from her.
