Jessie Munro, Suzanne Aubert's biographer

As part of Celebrate Compassion 2026, award-winning writer-historian Jessie Munro will speak about Venerable Meri Hōhepa Suzanne Aubert’s life, influence, and legacy in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Jessie Munro is the author of The Story of Suzanne Aubert, which won the Book of the Year award at the Montana Book Awards in 1997.

Jessie’s presentation elements will include:

  • the early New Zealand narrative;
  • our tightly compressed history;
  • a meeting of cultures; and
  • one woman’s agency.

All are welcome to attend this special event.
