Linda Swayne was awarded the Rotary South Pride of Workmanship in 2024, honouring her longstanding volunteer work at the Heritage Centre at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion, Island Bay.

Linda, who grew up in the historic building of the Home of Compassion, has been part of the whānau of the Sisters of Compassion for many years. She welcomes visitors in the exhibition spaces, arranges flowers throughout the building, and ensures everything is kept tidy.
