A Compassion home in Island Bay is being renovated with new carpet, paint and bathroom facilities, to create a welcoming space for refugee families arriving in the coming months.
For several years, the Compassion whānau has provided refuge for those fleeing conflict, hardship or persecution. Our temporary housing in Island Bay supports refugees arriving in Aotearoa New Zealand, aiding resettlement and family reunification. This renovation ensures families can start anew in a safe, healthy home, working alongside the Refugee Family Reunification Trust, Red Cross, Changemakers and other Wellington-based support groups.
