Our beekeepers are here to teach you about bee anatomy, hive building, pollination and more! Come visit the bee colony we have nestled in our garden here at Our Lady’s Home of Compassion. This event is part of Bee Aware Month, in conjunction with Apiculture NZ and the Wellington City Council, which aims to get all of our community to take action to support and protect bees. As the global bee population declines, we must teach the next generations to become champions for our buzzy friends, and it all starts with education.
