Grants for Visiting Nurse Programme

St Joan’s Trust, a registered charity, is committed to supporting organisations that assist older adults. Each year, they invite applications for grants aimed at enhancing access to services, improving well-being, and providing care for the elderly. In late 2023, Compassion Housing was awarded a generous $15,000 grant to help fund our Visiting Advocate Nurse/Support Worker positions, which serve all of our Compassion Housing residents in Horowhenua and Upper Hutt. They play a vital role in helping residents maintain a good quality of life. Additional grants for this service were also received from COGs Horowhenua and the Kingdom Foundation. Thank you to our funders for enabling our residents to live independently, with security and dignity.
